Design and Technology @ Fairfield High School
The academic year 2011/12 bring's the advent of a variety of new projects into the faculty, emcompassing a variety of new and old techniques, with a modern twist. The use of smart materials gives the students the added experience of using materials used in industry, but also allowing them to create excellent quality products that they can be proud of.
Look at the pictures below for some examples of some of the products the students will be making during their time in KS3 at Fairfield High School.
The Y7 students have made a range of Christmas decorations as part of the Enterprise Challenge that the students have been part of over the last 10 weeks, these were then put on sale to raise money for a pre-school in South Africa.
The Y8's and Y9's have made some stunning products, pictures to follow.
